Turned our Nose up
By Betty on December 4, 2021
Our Cat loves Lamb and researched this to have a similar taste to Lamb but not our Cat. He didn't like this at all.

The cat's absolute favorite
By Lindsey on November 29, 2021
My cat is somewhat picky (shuns rabbit and duck, is only somewhat into chicken), but she is a freak for goat! I love this product because it's a surefire success with her every time. It's marginally more pricey than some of the other meats available but still mid-range, so feeding it to her and rotating it with beef and mutton and chicken means it doesn't break the bank. This is my go-to product for every order from Hare Today. Thanks for making this!
Amazing!
By Renee on February 11, 2020
Rio loves goat which I feed as a variety of protein(s). I thought I'd try it over Mutton and he still loves both. Great quality, fresh, and oh so healthy for my pup. Thanks Ashlee
Very good
By Gabriel on December 8, 2018
I like that this includes some tripe. My pup won't eat tripe by itself so this is a good way of slipping some in.
Convenient for busy days!
By Christy on August 19, 2018
I love having this option!!! It is such a convenience for those days when I don't have time to put together the perfectly balanced breakfast--or while we're traveling. I just thaw the log out, then refreeze meal-sized portions in ziplock bags. Its as easy as feeding kibble, except I know it is quality stuff. Plus, my dog LOVES goat. Its his favorite red meat.
Huge Hit!
By Amanda on February 24, 2018
I was educated as a raw feeder by some of the great info on here that it's a good idea to feed dogs ruminant animals, so I gave this one a whirl and man it was a huge, huge hit with my pup. I will continue to order mostly beef, but I found this product to be a great compliment along with the venison blend. In my opinion those are three of the best proteins you can buy for your pups!
Low fat meal
By Naomi on February 18, 2018
This low fat meat is great for my dog, who has chronic pancreatitis. I also love that it includes tripe! Great for variety, and the meat is of high quality, as always with Hare Today.
Not your everyday meat but it's awesome!
By Bisera on November 30, 2017
My cats and my Akita dog loved this grounded goat. I bought one package with organs and I think for the next time I will mix in a package of just plain goat meat to lower the organ ratio. My pets loved it, good meat to rotate their menu with.
Unique protein
By Sarah on May 15, 2017
I am so happy Tracy offers this ground goat - my fur kids love it! I would never be able to find a unique protein such as goat locally so this is a real find for us!!!
Love it.
By Cristina on February 11, 2017
My dogs LOVE this stuff! Nice clean meat. One of my girls actually turned her nose up to the Ground Rabbit (which is fantastic too!) last night until I switched it out for the goat. Not spoiled at all.. We always stock up on this stuff on our orders!
A bit of smell....
By Angela M on February 8, 2017
....like goat, clean goat, that farm animal smell; it's not unpleasant. My cats like this to be at room temperature, not at all chilled. If it's 'frig temp, most will wait until it warms up to eat it. But they sure like it once it's there.
Perfect
By Susan on November 16, 2016
I love this this product. It has the perfect ratio meat/bone/organ to make an easy complete balanced meal. Quick no brainer meals are much appreciate during a busy work week. the dogs love this product and it is something I would t be able to provide shopping locally so that is also a huge bonus
Excellent Protein Source
By Kolby on October 3, 2016
I had not been able to include goat in my rotation of proteins before due to not having access to it. I had heard of other people feeding goat with positive results. I decided to include goat in my first order, and I am very glad that I did. I love knowing that I can reliably provide my dog with goat as a red meat protein source in her feeding rotation.
Thank you, Hare Today, for your excellent products.
Love that tripe is in this!
By Leanne on September 19, 2016
My german shepherd has allergies and cannot eat beef, so I haven't been able to feed her beef tripe. However I order the beef tripe for my parents' german shepherd and he absolutely LOVES it!! I love that my german shepherd is able to get the benefits of tripe from goat!
This is beautiful
By anna on September 17, 2016
I like nice red meat for my animals, and this is very red. My dog fully enjoyed it, but my cats...a different story. I put a about a tablespoon in their food bowl with what the regular raw they eat, and they would not go near their bowls. It was funny. No more goat for my kitties, but definitely for my dog.
Response from Hare Today: Most cats will do best with rabbit, poultry and rodents as the staple. Red meats that contain tripe most cats do not like.
A Matter of Taste
By Genevieve on September 5, 2016
Although the product was the good quality I expect from Hare Today, my cat, Awesomer, just didn't like it.
He would finish is eventually, but not without pouting.
The goat is on the dry side, which is more difficult for mixing in supplements. (I suppose it would be good for low-fat diets).
When I want to add non-poultry proteins I'll stick with llama and rabbit, both favorites.
Response Hare Today; Most cats dont like foods that contain tripe.
good to add variety
By Alexander on June 5, 2016
I got this to add some more variety to my dog's meal plan. She loved it, like always. I purchased the 1 pound tube and this was very convenient. I think I'll get the 5 pound tube next time I decide to incorporate goat meat/bones/organs/tripe into my dog's diet.
Goat offers a great alternative to beef
By Barbara on May 7, 2016
Comet, my Shih Tzu, cannot eat beef without itching himself silly so I needed a red meat option. Goat gives me exactly what I need. I buy the fine ground since I have little dogs and the texture is prefect. It must be tasty since there is never anything left on their plates.
My other Shih Tzu, Noel, is a finicky eater and she never leaves any for Comet to clean up. Thank you Hare Today for offering an alternative red meat.
Gobbling up Goat!
By Janine on March 20, 2016
Our dogs are obsessed with the Ground Goat/Bones/Tripe/Organs...and I'm pretty obsessed with it too since I don't have to fuss with measuring quantities of meat, bones, and organs nor do I have to worry about grinding any of it myself! I thought this was definitely the favorite product....until the dogs tried the ground Duck. (I think it's going to be like this with all the products we ordered! LOL)
A favorite of my cats
By Catherine on March 12, 2016
My cats love goat, possibly because I started feeding it to them when they were kittens. They don't care for beef, so I assume that goat is more "cat friendly". I like that they can have a red meat item in their diet, and also that they are getting a bit of tripe. Note that unlike the other meat/bone/organ grinds, this one is only 10% bone and doesn't need to have plain meat added to cut the bone content.
Cats aren't a big fan of this.
By Danielle on March 5, 2016
My female cat absolutely hates goat and stops eating whenever I serve it. I even tried mixing it with rabbit which usually works but she still won't. My other two boys don't mind it but I do notice they leave some of the bigger bones behind. This definitely isn't their favorite but they will eat it if that's what's offered.
Response from Hare Today: Cats typically do best with rabbit, poultry and rodents. Some cats do eat red meats but most cats dont care for red meat as much. Also this has tripe in it and most cats dont like tripe. Dogs on the other hand usually love the goat or anything with tripe.
My Dogs absolutely LOVE this stuff
By Brad on February 23, 2016
I have an Olde English Buldogge and a Boerboel. Both have been raw fed Hare Today since they were 8 weeks old. They both love this product and the quality shows in their coats as well as their health.
Ground Goat
By Haley on January 29, 2016
This goat is definitely a favourite for us. I haven't seen many online suppliers that carry a whole ground goat like this and that's why we love it. It is very lean and not fatty at all which I love. We got 15 lbs of it for our two small dogs just because we love it that much!! Thank you!
Another great option!
By Yee on December 16, 2015
This was a great raw food. I love that this is an option here. Not many places offer goat for this price.
Perfect Mix for my Perfect Bunch
By Joni on December 11, 2015
This mix of Goat meat, bones, organs and tripe is the pawfect thing for hungry doggies wanting lip smacking good food and equally perfect for the busy pet-parent wanting to ensure their fur-kids get top notch nutrition. This is the only U.S. Raw Supplier I have utilized that offers such a mix. There is mostly everything you need in this mix (I'm one that utilizes Veg as well)
I believe this to be a great mix if you are just getting started with Raw, it takes a lot of guess work and that dreaded math out of it.
They love it!
By Darlena on November 15, 2015
My chihuahua's love the ground goat/bones/tripe/organs. I mix it with a premix and I have an easy and healthy meal for them. I love the fact that it has organ meat and tripe because I believe these things are a must in a dogs diet.
Great food
By fran on October 11, 2015
For both my dog and cat.. it makes life so easy when I can feed both the same food.
By Renee on April 29, 2015
I've ordered the goat before and it continues to be of great quality. I like it for variety of protein and it has only 10% bone. It is higher in protein which also adds to my dog's variety. I am very pleased with this product - its awesome.
By Lorena on March 28, 2015
I'm so glad I found your website. My dog had terrible digestive issues and when I switched to your raw meat she's doing great. The vet thinks she had an allergy to preservatives which is in commercial dry dog foods. Thank You!

If I could rate this product 10 stars I would! My 6 month old GSD pup has had major sensitivities & allergic reactions to his food...or so I thought? In a very kind way, Tracy let me know that dogs rarely have true allergies to protein - more often it's something that is in the food. She took time (she probably didn't really have) to walk me through what I had been feeding him, and recommended that I narrow his diet down to one protein source and feed him only that for a month to see if he actually did have issues...Well guess what? She knew exactly what would happen - No issues!! Everything turned around for Finn in a matter of 2 days!! No more diarrhea, the red itchy bumps on his belly began to disappear and his red inflamed ears began to return to a normal color! Keeping it simple with an easily digestible protein source has opened the door for me to be able to introduce new proteins into Finns diet! THANKS SO MUCH TRACY!!!

**If you are new to raw feeding...? I would start off with the finer grind. My boy's stomach didn't quite know what to do with the courser pieces of bone because his digestive juices needed to develop a bit more, so they (just the bones, no meat) came back up several hours later. This didn't happen with the finer ground goat, so I fed that instead for a few weeks until his system produced the necessary enzymes to break the bone down. Now he can eat any size bone pieces without an issue. As Tracy said to me "slow and steady wins the race" Thanks again Tracy!!

I have used Hare today products and foods, for my 2 dogs and 6 cats, for years. I love the quality and ease of use of them. I have an older maine coon cat that has severe kidney problems. I was told that by the time he started to show symptoms, he was over 70% compromised. so he was really ill before that, but had no symptoms I could pick up on, til it was almost too late. I immediately changed him to Hare todays raw food.. One of his favorite meats is goat. It is a beautiful red soft meaty mix of muscle meat, organ, tripe and bone. It gives him all the nutrients he needs, with an occasional taurine supplement ( Taurine powder or the Alnutrin, they sell here, are both great) He was diagnosed about 5 years ago and I was told back then, that he would only have 6 months to a year to live, if that. WRONG!!!! I switched to him raw right away, and we haven't looked back. Hare Todays raw ground meat bone organ mixes have saved his life. He loves the goat, and rabbit best, but eats all the different meats with gusto. He is a happy 18yr now,. I only wish I had started him on raw when he was younger. All my animals eat this ground goat, bones tripe and organs. We feed them all, the beef, chicken , turkey, duck, lamb, goat, rabbit on a regular basis. All have been healthy and happy since the change to Hare todays raw.

I was hoping for a little more protein variety in my 2 cats' diet, but the goat did not entice them at all. One sniff and they walked away. I've tried giving it to them a couple of times with the same results. However, my chickens love the little raw goat meatballs I make for them and inhale them!
Response: Most cats do not like red meats. Most cats will do best with poultry, rabbit and rodents for their protein sources.
By Margaret on September 23, 2014
This is my Westie's favorite! She loves all the products, but this is the one that gets an extra special happy dance!
By Joan on September 17, 2014

By Alyse on September 5, 2014
This is another great ground option! My ferrets had never had goat before but they tolerated it :) The product itself is great quality.
By Andrew on August 8, 2014
My pup loves the ground goat! This is the first ground product I've tried from Here Today Gone Tomorrow and I AM a satisfied customer. Easily digested and perfect for puppies.
By Clare on April 12, 2014
I bought this for my friend for Christmas. Her raw-fed dog loved it. She's getting more in our joint order!
By Linda on March 9, 2014
I have a very fussy eater. The best kibble does not entice her and she is a small bone girl that had needed some weight and coat for the show ring as well as just to look and feel better. My husband, who orders regularly from you, suggested this product to be mixed in with her food to entice her to eat. I was very skeptical at first thinking, if anything, she would turn up her nose. Amazingly, she ate every last bit of kibble and the product. Since that time, I have "borrowed" more of my husband's stash of this food for this girl and she loves it all. I'm convinced this is the food for her and she loves all of the varieties I've tried so far - so I'm about to make my first order today. thank you.
By Daphne on March 5, 2014
My bulldog had never eaten goat. She took one whiff and began to ravenously consume it. It was quite a treat! The goat is very good quality and I will purchase it again!
By Cheri on January 4, 2014
First - I love Hare Today Gone Tomorrow - the products offered, service and delivery are \"above expectations\". The ground goat/bones/tripe/organs is popular with my Dachshunds, and while it is one of the meats I feed most frequently, it has more odor than say the rabbit or venison blend. Appreciate this kind of variety!
Response: Products that contain tripe will have a distinct smell. This is normal.
By Michelle on January 1, 2014
I ordered this and a couple other ground meats to test the waters for our 10 yr old husky mix in transitioning him to a raw food diet as he is a very finicky eater. I was absolutely floored at his response to the change. For the first time EVER he comes running when he hears his food bowl get picked up. He sits and waits, watching eagerly for me to put it in front of him and licks his bowl clean every time. His coat is shinier and just seems more healthy. Wish I had tried this years ago!
By Janet on November 20, 2013
Hare Today Goat is becoming a staple for my GSD diet. I have fed both course ground and fine ground. I like the course ground meal because it is really chunky, but I do remove the large bones that my dog does not seem to be able to crunch up. This is an affordable meal that I can feel good about feeding to my dog - who is sensitive to poultry and requires 'other' proteins, such as Goat.
By Carmine on October 21, 2013
This meat is super high quality. My dog was having digestive issues, and other issues, and stopped feeding her the "Honest Kitchen" which is full of fruit and veggies, and her Yeast has finally been clearing up. No wonder she she never wanted to eat any of it. When I fed her some of this Goat for the first time, she ate like it was her last meal.
I highly recommend Hare-Today. Try it, and you will be wanting to buy more and more from here, to the point, you'll probably start looking at more freezers to buy too. That's how good the quality of everything is. Even the customer service is amazing!
Tracy is one of the "nicest" business owners I have ever dealt with. Thank you so much Tracy! You have made me a customer 4 life! :)
By Nancy on October 19, 2013
I love being able to feed a great variety of meats to my dogs. Your prices are wonderful.
By Ruthann on August 19, 2013
Our dogs licked their bowls clean, when we gave them ground goat.
Then looked at me to say I want seconds.
By Laurie on August 18, 2013
I'm very impressed with the quality of HTGT's ground feeds. I have an EPI dog who requires ground food, so her (added to each meal) pancreatrin enzymes can do their thing (enzymes cannot digest her food if they cannot reach most all the food's surface = why I use ground versus non). Each 5 pound log I have ordered (of varying animals) has proven to be the healthy means to keep my EPI girl on track. Shipments arrive with product still frozen, and has been a breeze to slice and measure each 8 ounce serving that I pre-weigh to match the required enzyme dosage for each of my dog's meals. Frankly - not sure what I'd do without this trusted source for my EPI dog's raw needs. Tracy - you ROCK! Bless you & thank you!

I was a little hesitant at first, but they seem to like it. I like adding a variety of meats and goat isn't widely available here. I really appreciate hare-today, because I couldn't get this anywhere else.
By dana ann on July 9, 2013
All orders arrive neatly packed and frozen. I've ordered from others where the packages are leaking, but Hare Today has good packaging. My boy cannot do poultry, so the goat is a nice alternative! Thanks!
By Joanna on July 8, 2013
I have ordered from Hare Today app. 4 times now and every order has arrived in perfect condition! I've tried several of the grinds and recently the Goat mix! My German Shepherds absolutely loved it and equally as important, they seem to thrive on it! One of my dogs has allergies so feedings something new to him like "Goat" was a great idea. I highly recommend trying it if you haven't done so already. My dogs both give it a 4 paws up! I also can highly recommend Hare Today as well for the fresh, well packaged food and very timely shipping as well as great communication! No need to look further.

My 2- year old terrier has limited focus when training, but he stayed by my side and had great focus when I pulled this out of my bait bag!
By Anish on June 27, 2013
Very happy with this product. My GSD absolutely loves the taste and the 5-lb chubs are convenient for portioning and using over multiple days. After defrosting I could tell that the meat was extremely fresh, and it's nice that the 5-lb chubs are a little cheaper per pound. Will be a regular part of our rotation!
By Anish on June 26, 2013
I was very happy with this coarse ground and my GSD absolutely loved it. There are some large pieces of bone since the mix goes through a 3/4-inch grinder plate, and there have been a few instances where I heard my GSD biting down on those pieces (loud enough for me to hear), but thankfully she eventually spit them out. I now remove any large pieces that I find (not many) prior to serving, just to be safe. Regardless, my girl clearly loves the meaty chunks and scrumptious pieces of tripe, and she routinely polishes off 1.5 lbs within 30 seconds!
By Anish on June 22, 2013
This is a fantastic product. My GSD who can be very picky absolutely loved this goat mix. It has that wonderfully pungent smell that tells me is it very fresh and includes a good amount of tripe. It's been one week and my girl will still come running when she knows it's dinner time and sit patiently in the kitchen for as long as it takes. The 2-lb chubs are also very convenient for portioning and re-freezing, if necessary. This protein will absolutely be in my dogs' regular rotation and I will purchase it from Tracy again and again.
By Marina on June 21, 2013
I just introduced goat to my puppy this morning. She smelled it and then licked the bowl clean. As always, thank you!
By Joanna on May 31, 2013
I've been feeding our German Shepherds raw for app. 2 1/2 months and recently tried the ground goat/bones/organs and my dogs absolutely loved it! I've never fed them goat meat before and I will definitely be reordering it in my next shipment. The rolls are real easy to thaw in the refrigerator and split up between them for breakfast. The packaging is done very well and clean. Shipping is prompt and well packed!
By dana ann on May 19, 2013
Happy to have this to add some variety to my boy's diet. He cannot eat poultry due to a sensitivity, so this is nice for variety. He gobbles this just as well as the beef or the mutton!
By Anne on February 16, 2013
We are still relatively new to raw (been feeding it about 6 months), and the course ground goat was a great find!! One of our cats is older, and has a hard time with the bones in any of the course grind mixes, but our younger cat absolutely loves them. We had been feeding the course ground chicken for the last couple of orders, but wanted to try something new with her. We got 1 3lb bag of the cg goat, and it was by far her favorite! She loves to chew, and really seems to enjoy the big meaty chunks. The only draw back is some of the bone pieces are just a little too big for her, so I do not feed it as frequently as other mixes to make sure she is still getting the right nutrient balance. I was surprised how much she liked it, since has been very picky in the past with new meats. I would highly recommend this product!
By Michelle on February 4, 2013
Great product! Still frozen when I got it after 3 days of transit!
This was a favorite! Will Order more!
Thank you!
By tatjana on August 6, 2012
this is my cat's favorite meat. he doesn't like goose, duck or turkey and isn't crazy about chicken. rabbit is ok, we like rabbit :)) but he loves goat. thank you Hare Today for all the meat options even for the pickiest carnivores! :)
By Suzanne on August 3, 2012
The goat was an absolute hit with my Amber kitty, I didn't even have to break out the bribe treats that usually have to accompany new, unfamiliar foods. I was initially concerned with the bone size (this grind has larger fragments than the chicken grind) but she is doing just well with it.
By Rebecca on July 10, 2012
I had one cat that absolutely loved this and another that wouldn't get near it. Will probably order it again anyway as a treat for the goat lover!
By Lora on June 4, 2012
Of all the fantastic raw foods to choose from, I suspect this is up there in the top 3. There are some things that just seem to get her tail wagging more and goat is one of them. As with all the other products, I feel like we are doing the right thing feeding her raw foods from Hare Today! She is super healthy and people always comment on how shiny her coat is. Thank you!!
By Laura on April 26, 2012
Having received tests on my dog's saliva that indicated certain food sensitivities, I've had to start avoiding poultry. That leaves a lot of red meat left in the diet. Most folks will tell you to rotate the foods so new sensitivities don't crop up, but it's not easy finding options that are reasonably priced besides beef. And lamb is just too fatty sometimes.
Goat is remarkably underutilized in the USA for meat unless you check Halal stores. But I've seen how they transport the meat in. This is NOT intended as anything other than strictly my observations but halal meat tends to arrive in unrefrigerated trucks and not always in the best shape. Going directly to a small boutique farmer these days means paying huge bucks for what's considered a \"novelty\" item, whereas in most of the rest of the world, goat is common.
So thank you Hare Today, for providing all these great goat options. It arrives fresh, and my dog enjoys it every time. Feces are good and the itching is slowly lessening. Please continue with this product.

This product is a staple of my 4 Whippet's diet. It's extremely palatable and a favorite. I've never gotten a "bad batch" from HT. Betty
By Laura on March 7, 2012
This is such a great product! And a relatively hard-to-find one, to boot! I am SO pleased and excited to be able to get this. What is so great about it is the fact that the green goat tripe is included, as well as the organs and bone. Tripe is such an important part of a dog’s diet because of all the enzymes and other nutrients it contains. And goat helps add variety to my dog’s diet. One other plus about this product: its availability in a variety of amounts; a 2-lb. chub is just the right size meal for my big doggie! Thanks, Hare-Today, for the great selection of raw pet foods, from me, Merlin (my OES) and Iris (my Norwegian Forest cat)!

I don't normally give pre ground mix as meals, but I got this since I might board her or for trips.
I really like the ingredients and no veggies and fruits is nice for people who are not into that. Saya really loved the goat she never had it before and she did great no stomach upsets.

My very finicky Boston Terrier Logan loves this. It is very high quality and clearly very fresh when frozen, because it oxidizes very slowly and lasts quite a while in proper refrigeration. An excellent product.

I cannot single out 1 product that is better than the other. All the food from Hare-today is great. Scout eats raw goat, raw whitefish, herring, pork, bones. All of these are top quality. When the order is received the meat does not have any crystallization on it. This means it was not frozen, thawed frozen etc. Many of the other companies have this issue. If you get food from another company it takes 20 minutes to thaw, The meat we buy from hare today takes hours.
Again, all the products I bought have been top grade. My dog will verify this.!!!

We have been feeding our GSD raw for 8.5 years; and, I have hated chopping the bones daily and dealing with raw meat and the great mess! These bags of already packaged bones, organs and meat are a HUGE BLESSING! I split one bag daily for two days of feeding. Thank you Tracy and family at Hare Today! You make my life less hectic! And, my girl loves it too! God Bless.

I recently purchased my first order from Hare Today and was extremely pleased with my experience. My pets are only 9 months into eating raw and I still have one very reluctant pup. I needed to expand his protein sources and decided to try the goat. He absolutely loved it! I was so pleased. My order arrived still mostly frozen, and everything was even better than expected. I will definitely be ordering again. Thank You!

Excellent way to get kitties eating the bones from goats. While they like the goat chunks, mine seem to leave alot of the bone behind. If they do not go outside, would advise adding fresh veggies turned to baby food consistancy, just to save your housplants from devastation. Buying the 5lb bags now as our household grew to 8 lovely cats.
