Freeze Dried
Freeze drying is beneficial as it causes very little, to no damage to the nutrition of the food being preserved. It typically retains 97% of the nutritional value, also food maintains its same appearance and flavor. The shelf life of freeze-dried food is remarkable, up to 25 years, if kept sealed with an oxygen absorber, and in a cool, dry place. Perfect for emergency situations such as power outages or on road trips!
More suited for cats, especially for those transitioning to Raw.
To hydrate: Mix 1 cup meat, to 1 cup water, for a yield of 1 lb.
Note: This ratio may appear to be waterier compared to frozen raw, but make sure you mix with warm water and allow it to sit for at least 3 minutes. Water can be reduced if your pet(s) prefer a thicker consistency, keeping in mind less water would result in lower yields.
Freeze dried can be fed hydrated, dry or as a topper for picky eaters.
