Product Notice: Rabbit (updated 05/02/25)
Typically, from December to March, we face challenges in sourcing rabbit due to the colder temperatures as we are located in Northwest PA.
Historical Weather Patterns:
- In 2022, 2023, and 2024, consistent weather patterns emerged that hindered rabbit breeding, as snow continued to fall in May during all three years! Typically, once spring arrives, local breeders have a reliable supply of rabbit.
- From Fall 2023 into Spring 2024, we were fortunate to maintain a steady supply of rabbit throughout the winter months; however, we faced shortages from late May into June of 2024.
- During the winter of 2024 and continuing through March 2025, we were blessed with a plentiful supply of rabbit; however, we began to experience shortages starting in April into May.
Please know that we are making every effort to secure an increased supply of Rabbits. This includes reaching out to new potential growers, as well as maintaining ongoing communication with our established growers.
