Nutrition and Benefits

🐈 Cats need a few basic supplements. We offer the Alnutrin supplement for both boneless and bone in ground meats which makes a complete cat food.

🐈🐕 Cats and dogs should also be supplemented with fish oil for the omega 3 fatty acids.

Why you'll love Alnutrin Supplements:

❤ They are free of controversial chemical additives like BHT, BHA, ethoxyquin and menadione.
❤ Free of non-essential ingredients like kelp, psyllium husk, flaxseed, soy, yeast, rosemary, garlic, fruits and veggies.
❤ They are made with amino acid chelates for better absorption of iron and copper.
❤ Formulated to meet AAFCO nutrient profiles.

Helpful Tips and Reminders

A quick how to:
• I would recommend putting one of our ground packages directly into the refrigerator in a dish or Ziplock bag. Allow to thaw for 1-2 days in fridge.
• Once the meat is workable, mix together with Alnutrin, water and fish oil, following the instructions on the Alnutrin bag.
• Add water first in a large mixing bowl.
• Then add Alnutrin and mix those together well.
• Next add fish oil (or add at mealtime).
• Then mix in meat.

Once you have mixed and portioned your food, you can create a rotation from the freezer to the fridge.

Warning: This supplement should not be used in combination with any other supplementation, except salmon or sardine/anchovy oil. It is not a typical vitamin supplement for your cat. Please do not feed it to your cat without incorporating it into a homemade diet according to our directions. Do not add it to commercial cat food. In case of accidental overdose, contact a veterinarian immediately.

    Excellent

By Sarah on March 29, 2023

I have been using this product for awhile now with fantastic results! It's super convenient and easy which makes life better for all of us. My only small gripe is the bag is so small I can barely get my hand in to grab the scoop. I do weigh my 4grams on a kitchen scale - better to be precise.

So easy, but better to weigh it!

By Lotus on May 21, 2022

I love how easy this is to use, just mix in and good to go. My first two batches I did with the scoop, which, as someone else mentioned, got hard because of the handle length. So, I switched to weighing the Alnutrin and realized I was probably under-supplementing with the scoop because I didn't pack it into the scoop and it was hard to get to come out of the scoop. I'd recommend weighing if you have a scale.

    Confident in Feeding

By Nadia on February 15, 2022

This product takes the guess work, worry and doubt about whether my cat is getting the nutrients she needs. Thank you!

    Helps us DIY to perfection

By Lindsey on November 29, 2021

So glad to have this product as a complement to Hare Today's excellent bone-in grinds, as now I can easily create a healthy food for my cat at home. It's very easy to do following the directions on the back, and the cat generally doesn't seem to notice or at least care about the difference.

    Easy and convinient

By Lilibeth on October 25, 2021

Very easy to use if you follow the directions. I am giving it 4 starts because I wish the scoop was slightly longer, it is hard to scoop since the handle is so short.

    So easy

By Lillie on August 20, 2021

Using Alnutrin is so convenient and easy. Love having peace of mind that I'm feeding my kitties the absolute best.

Save me tons of time to add additional vitamins and supplements. All cats accepted it.

    Cats don't seem to mind!

By Maia on November 11, 2020

I mix in the recommended portion with the meat and some salmon oil until it's all well-blended. My cats don't seem to mind the taste at all. I find adding the recommended amount of water makes the food too watery, so I omit it and haven't noticed any complaints. They have a water fountain nearby so they stay well hydrated.
I find it convenient that I can grab this along with the rest of their food.

    great addition

By Susan on March 17, 2019

Sammy Cat loves this in his food. He is older, had some symmetrical balding on hindquarters, after using Alnutrin for a few months fur is growing back very nicely, and I think it it because of this supplement. I was looking for a quality supplement, and this is a winner. When I open jar of previously frozen meats w/ Alnutrin added, it is pink and looks very fresh, more so than meat previously frozen without it. I'm grateful to be able to get it through Hare.

Very convenient and my cat likes it

By Jodi on February 6, 2019

I used to mix my own supplements because I figured it was safer and cheaper. But I got tired of all the effort it took to make cat food. So I decided to try Alnutrin on a whim, and now I’m hooked. It’s so much easier, and I don’t worry about deficiencies. And the bonus is that my cat likes it better than my homemade version. I thaw 5 lb of ground meat, then add Alnutrin, some fish oil, and extra taurine to be safe, then refreeze in plastic containers. It’s so simple that I no longer dread making cat food.

My cat don't like the taste

By Mary on December 29, 2018

My cat loves the dehydrated foods, but when I added in this supplement he won't eat it.
I bought the large bag of both supplements, the one for dehydrated with bones & the one without.
I took him off the raw for a couple of weeks & will try it again with the supplement in it since I made his food & froze the rest in small containers. Fingers crossed he will eat it. If not I am at a loss at what to do.

Response from Hare Today: Remember, Dehydrated products are meant as a treat. Our Alnutrin is specifically formulated with our Raw bone-in and boneless meats.
If you have a picky eater, start with small amounts and gradually increase over time until you get to the recommend amount per the instructions.

    Quick and Easy

This supplement takes the guesswork out of feeding raw to my cat. I can rest assured that he is getting everything he needs. Super simple to use, goes a long way, and quick which fits my lifestyle.

    Making raw food diet easier

By Ying on November 15, 2017

This helps making raw food for my cats much easier than getting all the individual supplements!

    Super easy balanced diet

By Natalie on November 12, 2017

This makes making food so much easier, I love the convenience of just adding one scoop per pound and knowing my kitten is getting a balanced diet. I do think it's a little expensive for only making 35 pounds of food though.

Response: Yield after adding water is approximately 47 lbs

    Cats love this.

By Maureen on March 9, 2017

I used this with my bone-in chubs consistently for a couple years. I was new to raw feeding and this was so simple( 1 scoop per lbs) that I felt confident my cats were getting a nutritionally complete diet. Over the past few months I started mixing my own supplements but only because I make so much food doing it that way saves money.I still keep this on hand for the times I feel lazy. When I mix it up with water the cats go on alert and try to drink it from the bowl so it must e good stuff.

    Great product

By Theo on August 31, 2016

This is a wonderful product in that it is so minimal, but gives cats who eat meat w/ bones, organs everything they need.

    Easy!

By Catherine on July 26, 2016

My kitties love their raw food diet! Thanks to Alnutrin, I don't have to worry about them getting proper nutrition. It dissolves and mixes easily. Also, easy to follow instructions: one scoop per pound of meat.

    great product

By Patty on February 28, 2016

We use this with the Hare Today ground rabbit or ground turkey to make the best food available for our meowy little carnivore. She's a sleek, frisky little cat thanks to good nutrition.

Alnutrin for cats - bone in.

By Lynn on February 15, 2016

I love feeding my cats Hare Today's raw meats. Alnutrin is a complete supplement which makes feeding raw a snap. My eleven year old boys are healthy and still love to play. Their coats are beautiful and and glossy and their eyes are clear and shining!

    Easy To Use/Mix

By Yee on December 15, 2015

This is an easy to use product that just needs to be scooped and mixed into the raw food. Great to have if you aren't sure that your pets are not getting enough nutrients.

    Easy to Use

By Jennifer on October 25, 2015

We love this, it gives us all the nutrients so we don't have to measure anything out and we just make our batches for the entire package, super easy.
