Great Dental Treat!
By Kylie on September 22, 2024
These are a great dental treat for my cat. They last awhile because I like to cut them into smaller pieces for her.
Great treat
By Angela on September 17, 2023
My cats love these! They have so much fun gnawing away at them and seem so satisfied when they finish them off.
I get so excited when these are in stock!
By Michelle on November 17, 2022
My dogs love love love them some chicken necks! And I love love love them when they come skinless, because it means less work for me of having to peel the skin off when they're semi-frozen!
These necks are perfectly sized, easy to snap in half to prevent choking, and apparently are very delicious because my dogs dance when they receive them in their bowls.
Only warning....hope you are not squeamish, because I constantly find the worms these chickens were fed mixed in the bags! I will try to attach a photo so you can see...but the worms are so clean, it really isn't too bad when you find one!!
Good size for ferrets
By Calvin on June 10, 2022
If you’re looking for good bone-in pieces for your ferrets, definitely buy these. They’re perfectly sized for ferrets of all ages. All three of my ferrets LOVE these. Best bone pieces you can get for them.
soooo easy to prep and the ferrets love them!!
By jenna on April 3, 2021
When I was transitioning my ferrets to a raw diet, I was really uncomfortable chopping bone and the different cuts of meat. The chicken necks are sooo easy to chop it takes three seconds. The cut itself is very nice because it doesn't break into shards when my ferrets are eating so its nice cleanup to. My ferrets go crazy for their chicken necks and for good reason. I will definitely be buying again
Perfect for Crunching
By Kristy on January 22, 2021
Three out of three cats agree. I cut them into pieces for them since none of them are used to eating larger prey yet. All three of my cats dug into these with relish and begged for more when they finished their portions. There was not a lot of skin on any of the ones in my bag, and they are very easy to separate.
Great for chewing!
By Jessica on November 12, 2020
It took my cat 2 whole minutes to chomp this chicken neck! I ordered skinless but my bag still has some skins. That's ok though, more for chewing! They are very clean and easy to portion out. They weigh around 2 oz each which is the perfect size for one meal. So happy to add bones to my cat's diet!
A lot of skin
By Stephanie on November 11, 2020
I order these necks often and I usually don't have any issues. However, the last few times there has been a lot more skin. In fact, in my last order, 14 oz of the 2 pound bag was just skin... I really wished they offered a skinless version.
Hare Today Response:
That is a great suggestion and why we now have two products for chicken necks.

Kitties are obsessed
By PAUL on May 20, 2019
My foster kitties grab the necks and run off like little ferals! They truly enjoy their necks and their teeth are looking nice and shiny! Quality is A+++
Skin On? Cats Still Love - Guardian Not So Much!!
By STEVE on February 16, 2019
When I initially ordered the chicken necks, they were skinless. Easy to separate and repackage for individual freezing. Plus there were many more necks for the price. Unfortunately, the skinless are not currently available and the last couple of skin on orders have been a hassle to deal with and, because they're sold by weight, there aren't nearly as many in a bag (about 6 last order). The good news is my kitty still loves them. I just hope the skinless are available sooner than later!
Cats are in love!
By Kathryn on October 26, 2018
My cats LOVE LOVE LOVE getting these for dinner. I feed it to them about 3-4 times per week, and they always lose their minds. I'm so glad I found a good bone-in meat source for them so we can keep their teeth in good shape!
Instant favorite for kitties!
By Megan on December 4, 2017
My cats both loved these! As others have mentioned, they are best cut up for cats, I usually cut them in half. Toward the end of the bag they were eating 2 so I started giving them whole, my cats had no problems eating the whole thing (and wanting more!). Great quality! Once I got a neck with the head still connected but the cat ate everything but the beak! Yummy bonus for kitty!
turns kitten into a predator
By Natalie on November 12, 2017
My kitten still doesn't quite understand how to eat these, but she'll grab it and run away to protect it at all costs. So now I put her her (large) carrier so she wont get chicken all over my apartment. We'll see if she learns to eat it!
RESPONSE: Here is a tip to teach cats/kittens to eat non ground such as necks. Put the neck between a couple pieces of foil or waxed paper and take a hammer to smash up a bit. [The foil or waxed paper keeps the mess down].
A new favorite chew
By nikki on October 21, 2017
Both my Chihuahuas instantly fell in love with these. They were easy to thaw and the perfect size for them. Great packaging and high quality nice and fresh.
Crunchy Meow!
By Akiko on September 13, 2017
We've started Hare Today raw since March this year. This is the first time we tried bone in chunk. And ... Yay! One cat munch munch munch and so proudly finished her very first chicken neck. The other one was not so successful, but tried several nice crunchy bite! We will plan to add this one in our rotation! Thanks Tracy!
Akita pup loves it!!!
By Bisera on August 20, 2017
My puppy loves these necks. He eats about 4-5 pieces just as a snack 3x a day. He saves it sometimes and I find it all over the house! It's a hit! Lions loves eating these too, so does my Wolfie! Chicken neck power!!!

My 4 month old cockapoo loves chicken necks from Hare Today! Easy for her to chew up- she eats them thawed and frozen!
Fresh and clean chicken necks!
By Sarah on July 11, 2017
I like to add necks in my dogs diet about once a week. I've been told it can help dogs with anal gland issues and since my little 15lb girl tends to scoot on occasion, I try to stay on top of her anal gland health. She has lovely stools the day after eating theses chicken necks and no scooting! The necks are clean and fresh, and a great size for a small dog. I pair them with some boneless turkey thigh - dogs love them!
nice looking....
By Angela M on April 16, 2017
....meaty & fresh, but none took any interest; used them to cook up a really nice broth/stock/soup to serve up though; just watch out for the tiny bones & hunt them all out if you're cooking the chicken
Big Hit
By Maureen on April 8, 2017
My cats go crazy for these chicken necks. I feed these once a week for their dental health. I used to buy them locally but while two of my three would eat them my oldest, Milo was never that interested. He loves Hare Today chicken necks however and I am thrilled. There is nothing like the quality of the products we are lucky enough to be able to get from Hare Today. Thanks Tracy!
Great bone meal
By Kelly on November 27, 2016
I just transitioned my 10 month old pup to raw and these have been fantastic for him. He's in his 2nd month and loves these! The bones are easy for him to chomp on. There's lots of good meat on them. And it slows him down on his speed eating! Love these!
Chicken necks
By Lynn on November 9, 2016
I give my cats half a chicken neck each for dessert. They look forward to the necks.
Our veterinarian was concerned years ago about tartar buildup on their teeth. In reading Dr Becker's articles I came across an article on the benefit of chicken necks for keeping cats' teeth clean. I began buying them from Hare Today. The next time we visited the vet she was amazed at how good their teeth and gums looked. I will always feed chicken necks to my boys.
excellent

My dogs get chicken necks almost every day! Natures toothbrush!
My cat LOVES these necks
By chwen on May 26, 2016
I bought a package for my cat as I wanted something that'll help him clean his teeth. I cut the neck into bite-size pieces for him with a butcher knife (cuts through easily when the neck bone is semi-frozen). I get such satisfaction from hearing the crunch-crunch sound as he chows down on the neck bones. I like to think, too, that his teeth are being cleaned as he snack on these!
A favorite of my dog's
By Alexa on May 6, 2016
These chicken necks are larger than others I have gotten which I like because it slows my dog down a bit.
Nice size for smaller dogs
By Maria Clara on March 25, 2016
The dogs loved the chicken necks. They crunch away happily and look for more! Nice size for smaller dogs.
A favorite!
By Christine on January 2, 2016
My 9 year old cat LOVES the crunchy necks! He had no problem biting through and eating the whole thing!
Highly recommend.

Chicken necks
By Cheryl on October 7, 2015
My Leos love the chicken necks and I love the added benefit of them keeping their teeth nice and clean. I am noticing however that I'm getting more and more wings and scrap with them. Hope this doesn't continue as Hare Today's quality is second to none.
By Stacey on July 24, 2014
I love keeping these handy in my freezer for my dog and cats. Perfect size for my dog - she seems to thoroughly enjoy it. I cut them into thirds for the cats and to them it really is just like Christmas morning!
By Oscar on June 16, 2014
My dog is 22 pounds, beagle Pekinese mix and these are perfect size necks for him. He devours them in microseconds. Excellent quality, perfectly packaged. I cant bring a box in my house now without him inspecting it. Highly recommended.
By Julie on December 16, 2013
Chicken necks are one of the softest bones you can feed your dog. If they have trouble chewing or digesting large amounts of bones, you might want to try chicken necks. I used to give Milo chicken wings and legs but since he gulps them up in one bite and not chewed "properly", they can come out whole at the other end. Ouch! These come without the skin so if you have a dog that has liver issues, this is great because it is lower in fat than with the skin.
By Matthew on September 25, 2013
We have an 8 week old boxer puppy and these are the perfect size for him. There is virtually no prep needed other than thawing. Can't beat the quantity for the price. When he grows up these will make perfect treats.
By Anne on February 16, 2013
Our kitty LOVES these! We got the chicken necks as a way to introduce our 8lb female cat to some meaty bones. We had been feeding a commercial raw diet before switching to Hare today several months ago, and she never seemed interested when we offered her bones before. That all changed with the necks. We chop each neck into 3 pieces, and they make the perfect treat! She is a small cat, and she has no trouble at all with these.
By Julie on January 22, 2013
I used to buy my chicken necks from Whole Foods but they were sporadic in getting their stock in. That's when I found out about Hare Today. I like how these come without the skin and each bag of necks fits very nicely in a large mason jar for me to refreeze for later.
Since buying from Tracy, I've found an occasional chicken wing tip which is OK since it's a soft bone, but twice I found a chicken head which I threw away.
I am hoping Tracy will consider discounts on shipping eventually!
By Penny on September 24, 2012
My cats love these! I cut each one into 4 pieces, then keep them in ziploc bags in the freezer until needed. Usually a day in the fridge is enough to thaw them, then the cats go to town! If I'm low on raw food, I sometimes supplement it with a few pieces of chicken necks in each bowl, though mostly I use it as a treat.
By Becky on July 22, 2012
I wasn't to sure about the chicken necks.. Was always told they would choke the dog.. Well I tried them and my little girl loves them and no choking..
By Angela on June 12, 2012
I bought these Chicken Necks for my 2 Aussies to try. They were a little hesitant at first (I usually just buy ground meat) but now it's the first thing they eat. They love them!
By Michelle on June 11, 2012
I was a little nervous about giving them bones like this, but I was assured that it was safe (talking to someone who knew MUCH more about raw food than I do). Thankfully I listened! My cats LOVE this! At first, they kind of ignored it, but after 1-2 feedings, they began to devour it. My girl cat thought she was some wild cat who had to drag it away from her brother so he wouldn't steal it. It was pretty comical as she's never done anything like that before. I'll be buying it again!
By Teresa on May 3, 2012
My dogs eat these daily! Hare today is the best source for buying raw foods for your pets. I've always been satisfied with their service and products. Fast service and quality foods.
Thank you!

These are great my dog loves them!!! I feed her ground meat in the morning and the chicken neck at night... She is the healthiest dog I have ever had...
By Susan on February 20, 2012
My dogs LOVE these. They are a great source of calcium without being a choking hazard. I wish they came in 1 lb. packages, but still, they are a great buy.
By Teresa on February 3, 2012
My dogs love these!! I have one large dog and 2 small ones and these are the perfect size for providing some bone for cleaning teeth and all of them can eat the necks. My older boy has had laryngeal paralysis and then tieback surgery. His surgery means he now has a permanent opening for lungs as well as stomach. His chances of pneumonia are great BUT with the choices here of ground/bone, ground and smaller pieces, I'm happy to say we are coming up on 3 years post op and NO pneumonia. I love Tracy's products and there is so much variety, anyone can provide their pets with a great raw diet!! It's one stop shopping here!!!
By Sandra on January 10, 2011
Amadeus, my picky cat, loves these. He'll chew and chew and chew and crunch happily away, and FINALLY I've found something he will eat with bone in it. Normally, if there's a bone anywhere, he tends to get up and walk off rather than chewing the meat off the bone at the very least. Now, he's happy.
Too small for my 20-pound Eskimo mix (she tends to inhale, despite being fed raw since puppyhood!) -- she eats turkey necks now. Cats, however, gleefully eat their chicken necks and crunch away.
I usually feed 1/2 a chicken neck a couple times a week to the kits.
By Kathleen on June 2, 2010
I have 2 smallish DSH cats. The male loves this, the female can't be bothered. However, that works out fine since he needs more food than she does so I can give him one a week or so.
I have never fed whole though. I pound with a mallot and/or cut them up with shears. They've both thrown up whole bone before (wings) and he is prone to vomiting, but he keeps these down just fine.
By Jeannine on September 30, 2007
These are funny (amusing funny, not peculiar). I was somewhat hesitant about getting these for my kittens (16 and 12 weeks), because the thought of giving a whole chicken neck to a cat seemed a bit odd to me. But they were so reasonably priced that I thought I'd give them a try. Boy, am I glad I did! The older kitten (they're Maine Coons, so she's pretty big even at 16 weeks) wolfed hers right down -- crunch, crunch, crunch, all gone. The younger kitten (11 weeks at the time), had a little trouble with his until I used a poultry shears to break it into smaller pieces, then he wolfed his down, too, and begged for more. A really nice treat that gives them an extra-thorough teeth cleaning. I'm definitely keeping these on hand from now on.
