Holy crap, these are beautiful. Such a vibrant red!! I've not had the luxury of purchasing lung before now and I was surprised at the quality (in the best way possible- it's such *good* quality!!). The texture threw my dog off first since he's never had lung before, but now it's always the first thing he goes for (maybe just because he can swallow it whole)!!

This lung is gorgeous! I know that's an odd sentiment but I've fed lung before and it's unpleasant trying to parse it up but not this stuff. It looks healthy (at least to a city girl!), has a nice bouncy texture and it's easy to cut up. It's hard to include variety when feeding franken-prey sourced in the grocery store and that's where Hare Today does a great job with that and the packaging is always clean & labeled nicely.

At first, the texture of the lung threw me off (kind of like Doggie Flan), but my euro-boxer was ON me the second I opened the package. He absolutely loves it, and since we feed it as meat, it adds variety and extra nutritional value to the standard muscle meat portion of his food that he normally gets. Quality was great and so was the price. We will definitely be ordering this again soon!

I’ve ordered this before without any issues. However, i ordered again a few months ago (didn’t look it over and stowed away in chest freezer for a later date) and I was so disappointed. I ordered about 8lbs to make dehydrated treats with, but when I opened not just one but all packages it was 90% FAT. I’ve butchered and processed animals before and never do they have this much fat. I wish i could include a picture because in the bags I received I maybe got three chunks of actual lung and had to toss the rest. I don’t know if it was just a bad batch, but unfortunately this has turned me off from ordering again.

Response: Before writing a negative review if you would have contacted us we always stand behind our products. We would have gladly sent you a bag of dehydrated beef lung if that was your goal to dehydrate for treats.
Raw lung does have fat around the outer layer as it states on description. Raw fat is fine to feed as carnivores need fat in their diet. This product is sold to feed raw. We offer trimmed dehydrated lung on our treat product page.

I just added this to the kids' menu and worried they wouldn't like the texture but they gobbled it down so quick I don't even know if they tasted it! Two thumbs up and 8 paws up!

I cannot source lung locally anywhere and was so excited to find it here. It is of great quality and even includes parts of the trachea, which is really good for their joints and a good chew for dogs. Definitely recommend this. I only wish I could also buy just the trachea, as I love to stuff them with ground meats, stick it in the freezer and feed it as a treat in the summer. Maybe in the future :)

My three dogs loved this! It was their first time having it, so I worried they may not like the spongy consistency but they gobbled it down. I will continue to make it a staple in their raw meals. Two thumbs up!

I was happy to see that these had a good amount of trachea attached to them. I was surprised at how fatty these were though. Not that that is a bad thing, I just cut them up and mix them in with leaner meats.

My chihuahua loves this product! She gets very excited when this is part of her meal. Very chewy. I like that it doesn't have a noticeable odor. I will definitely continue ordering this.

Both our dogs absolutely loved this beef lung! You get lots per bag and at a really great price for beef. Ours had a little trachea attached too which is a good natural source of glucosamine - something our older dog needs. It's nice to be able to offer a variety of different organ and muscle meats, and we couldn't do that without hare-today!

I cut these into small pieces and dehydrated them -- they are a fantastic change from my dehydrated liver! They dry quickly and thoroughly, and take the dogs longer to eat -- perfect for handing out as "bye-bye" treats when I leave for work! :) Plus I suspect they're much lower in calories than liver, which is a consideration in a "treat" house with little dogs... :)

I live in a small town so finding organs can be extremely difficult. This site has allowed me to give my dog the variety he needs for a nutritionally balanced diet. I was worried that I'd have to switch him back to kibble! Also, you get a lot of product in a 2 pound blog.
