    Love it!

By Logan on February 8, 2020

Picky eater approved, my pup loves pork day!

    GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT MYSELF

By GINNY on November 14, 2019

My kitty loves pork, and I purchased the trim as an addition to her regular Hare Today raw selection of food. I was pleasantly surprised at how meaty the trim was, there wasn't as much fat as I'd thought there would be, and when I defrosted it to grind up for our kitty, my husband thought it was something I was going to cook for dinner for us! That's how good it looked and smelled.

    Good for my scrawny dog

By Lesa on January 31, 2018

I have a dog who apparently has a high metabolism so I'm not scared to feed her pork. I really like these chunks, they're easy to add to a meal with bone and organs. Will order these again!

    No Complaints Here!

By Sarah on August 24, 2017

I ordered pork trim for the first time this month (we usually get the beef trim). I thawed it out and portioned it this morning for the dogs; I think it looks great! Pork does tend to be fattier than some other meats but fat is not all bad! My dogs eat both really lean meats and fatty meats so they get the balance they need over time. I didn't cut off any fat... they'll LOVE it! Good stuff here - no complaints. We will order this product again!!

    Pork Pork Pork

By Amy on May 26, 2017

My 3 dogs & my cat loved the pork trim. It came in huge bulky pieces that took some jaw work & extra chewing to get it down. It has a nice balance between muscle meat & fat. I like the big pieces so my animals have to work for their dinner. It keeps their teeth & gums in good condition. You get a huge bag of it too. I will order this product again. I highly recommend the pork trim.

    Two of Three cats approve

By Maureen on March 31, 2017

I just ordered this pork trim for the first time. Two of my cats liked it very much. The third got sick. I know some cats don't do well with red meat but, they all love ground pork and venison so I gave it a try. The meat is meatier than I expected and, yes there is substantial fat but it is pork trim. The meat looks great obviously very fresh. I am going to try to feed the cat that didn't handle this well smaller chunks and hopefully he will do better with it. If not, I probably will not order it again.

    No excess fat here

By Angela M on February 17, 2017

Given the complaints about fat quantity from some, I expected more fat. I could even say I was almost disappointed in the leanness. Around 80/20, as described. I suspect some humans were thinking of their preferences, not pet preferences when looking at the trim. The meat and fat have good, fresh, appropriate color and odor. Not a single thing wrong with any of it.

    Great addition

By Joni on July 10, 2016

I was wary of getting pork at first, You hear many bad things about it but mainly pertaining to humans. There is a lot more meat on this trim than I was expecting being its pork trim. SO you will get a good amount of actual meat on this and if your dog does not have any medical conditions than the pork fat is also a great addition to their diet as they need fat. So you will be getting a nice chunk of meat with some fat, a great price, a good off set to the cost of your dogs food. Also no need to worry about the quality of the pork at Hare-Today is amazing and only does the best quality of meat so I never have to worry.

    Excellent Staple Item

By Alex on April 1, 2016

Must keep this pork in the meal rotation in my house for the dogs. They love it. It's soft and easy to thaw and manipulate for meal prep times. They love it!!!

    Loving Fat

By Yee on December 17, 2015

The amount of fat in this is awesome! It will be good for the bengals and my youngest puppy who is very energetic. It will help my Sphynx maintain weight better too as they burn off lots of energy trying to keep their body's warm.

    Very Soft and Delicous

By David on December 2, 2015

First I'd like to respond to the other comments here: yes, pork trim is high in fat, but a lot of what you see is meat protein, the marbling is just very high.

The meat is very soft and pulls apart, with the fat content it makes it pure decadence for both my ferrets, who loves this. Fat is very important for carnivores with very high metabolisms, ferrets especially.

    As Advertised

By Alex on November 30, 2015

I ordered this two weeks ago for my Belgian Malinois. it is exactly as advertised, and i am happy with the product. so is my dog, these are her second favorite meats sources behind beef hearts. packaging is perfect as always.

By Dunja on May 28, 2015

This pork trim was very well received by my cat. She is very fond of pork, and I needed boneless pork to mix in with other boneless meats, so this worked out perfect for me and she loves it. Also it is great that the 5 lbs bag comes in blocks of a little more than 1 lbs, so that I can easily take out 1 chunk and leave the rest in the freezer. Great product.

By Suzanne on September 29, 2014

This pork trim is PERFECT for my rescue cat who is very thin! It's also good to grind and use just as a "topper" for other foods if more fat is needed, or if kitty isn't very keen on trying a new meat. I will definitely be purchasing this product again.

By Jen on November 20, 2013

I decided to order a package despite the negative reviews just to see what the trim was like and am really glad I did. I don't know if the product has changed, but I found the trim to be quite meaty. Yes, there is a good layer of fat on a lot of the pieces, but it's pork, that's to be expected. If anyone has ever purchased pork belly, this is much meatier. It's been an excellent addition to balance out some really non-meaty bones I got from another company.

By donna on August 19, 2013

disappointing!!! A LOT of fat had to trim it and not much meat left. should of read the reviews! My dog did love it though.

Response from Tracy. I get more negatives reviews on pork trim and I dont know why? The product description states this is a 80/20 mix. There is absolutely no reason not to feed some food that is higher in raw fat unless you have a dog with pancreatic issues. My dogs get pork trim 1 time a week and is one of their favorites.

By Kelsey on August 29, 2012

I wish I would have looked at the review before I bought this. Julia is right, these are just chunks of fat. Very disappointing. I won't be buying this again.

Response
The pork trim we offer is a 80/20 mix. 80% meat 20% fat.
Raw fat is a key component in a dogs diet unless you have a dog with pancreatic issues. You can access product descriptions by clicking on product name.

It is my only disappointment so far - almost pure fat , not much meat! Had to discard almost half of the package.

Response
Raw fat is not an issue for carnivores unless you have a dog or cat that has pancreatic issues. Fat is needed in a carnivores diet. Our pork trim is 80% meat 20% fat.
