Nutrition and Benefits

• This food is a good source of Niacin, Vitamin B6 and Phosphorus, and a very good source of Protein, Zinc and Selenium.

Helpful Tips and Reminders

• ? Medium-large dogs typically do well with tom turkey necks.
• ? Cats typically do well with poultry, but these would be too large for most cats. Also, see our chicken necks.
• Tom necks are about twice the size of our hen turkey necks, small.
• Meaty bones have added benefits from jaw exercise to teeth cleaning, always feed meaty bones under supervision.
• Residual thyroid hormones may be present the necks, so I always recommend rotating different meaty bones as a best practice.
• Can be used to balance MBO ratios. Balance MBO ratios with our Raw Food Ratio Calculator here: https://hare-today.com/raw_food_ratio_calculator.

    Gigantic

By Rosie on February 6, 2021

I guess I never really thought how long a turkey neck would be until I receive these babies! They're massive! I had to chop them up to give it to my Frenchie! This is still great, but too lazy to do the extra chopping, so next time, I'll stick to the duck necks for a small size dog.

    HUGE

By Linda on December 9, 2020

I don’t know how big the turkey was these necks came from but oh my god they’re HUGE and very meaty!!! Each neck will make one full meal and partial meal for my four month old ESS pup with enough left for a meal for my full grown Lhasa!

    Dog went bananas for this!

By Kristin on June 28, 2020

These things are huge! I wasn't sure how to even feed this to my dog and I didn't have the proper knife to hack it in half, so gave him the entire thing. I have a 65 lbs Pitbull. When he saw this huge thing being given to him, his eyes bugged out. He couldn't believe it was for him. This was his first time he would have to break down his food, so was worried he wouldn't know what to do with it. At first he didn't. He ran outside with it and proceeded to play with it. Tossed it around, flipping it through the air, running zoomies around it, then nabbing it up again. This went on for awhile. He finally settled down with it, but was only licking at it with his front teeth. Eventually he figured it out and started smashing through it with his back teeth. It was amazing to watch him figure his way through it. The thing was quickly devoured once he figured it out. He ran back inside, checking the counter for more.

    HUGE!

By Anessa on April 16, 2019

These are huge! I've been purchasing raw turkey necks locally for a while now and I decided to try them from Hare Today with my last order.
Really should've ordered more than one bag!
Dogs love them and I am so pleased with their size! They don't just eat it up in a few bites, will actually last a few minutes for both of my large dogs.

I'm really happy with my purchase!
They are the perfect size for my GSD. I tried giving her chicken necks before but they were way too small! She basically has able to swallow the chicken necks whole. However, with turkey necks, she spends ample time chewing them. This way she also gets a nice teeth cleaning!

    Best I've found!

By Larissa on February 2, 2018

All my dogs enjoy the occasional turkey neck. These are the best I've found anywhere! They're huge and keep them busy for awhile.

    Thanksgiving Day!

By Kelly on November 27, 2016

My dogs got these for the first time on Thanksgiving Day and they LOVED them. They are huge necks, for starters. So, you're getting lots of meat and bone in the meal. And it takes them a while to work on these, so slows down the speed eater. Will be buying more!

    Cat Food

By Joseph on August 5, 2016

I freeze these solid and cut them into 1/2 - 3/4 inch thick medallions with a butchers hacksaw. Once thawed in the refrigerator and warmed to prey temperature in a ziplock bag submerged in hot water, the cats love these. The cats take about 20 minutes of gnawing to consume the whole piece so they get plenty of jaw exercise.

They are HUGE!!! My girls love them!! Thank you for always providing the best!

By Nancy on November 1, 2014

Oh WOW! Outstanding. I am new to Raw and these necks were the first thing my GSD got. He LOVED THEM and in only 3 necks his teeth look whiter and the grime is coming off. These Turkey necks are large, a beautiful juicy pink and THICK. He crunches them with utter delight and glory. I serve it in the bowl where it thawed and for dessert he laps up the melted juice (gravy!) and then licks his lips with greatest satisfaction. When he sees me walking outside, neck in the bowl, he's hopping around eagerly like a fox on a jackrabbit. I'm ordering more and there will ALWAYS be a stash of these in the freezer. They are much bigger than at the butcher shop. World Class Triathlon Turkeys I guess. Now ready for Tracy tell me what meaty bone to move to next. BRAVO for HARE! BINGO for Turkey Necks! Time to order yours. Essential for dog lovers!

These are great. I love Turkey necks. However, you should realize that they always come in packs of 3 and I'm lucky if I get 3.5 lbs out of them. The last one was 3 lbs .07 ounces. I've never received one that was 4 to 5 lbs like the description says. It also counts as 5 lbs against your shipping weight. Before shipping is added, at 5 lbs they would be $1.60/lb. At 4 lbs they would be $2.00/lb. At 3.5 lbs they are really more like $2.30/lb plus the additional amount you pay for it counting as 5 lbs against your shipment. So yes, it would appear there is a \"vig\" on turkey necks

Response: Turkey necks are sold by the piece as I can not get exact weights for every bag on a product like turkey necks. There are tom and hen necks available. I always get the tom necks as these are more meaty but weights do vary in size. The 5 lb shipping weight also has to calculate dimensional weights as this take up more room in the box then a ground product. There is minimal shipping cost difference on 1 lb or so. You are looking at a few cents in shipping for the variance. Before leaving a bad review over a few cents it would have been nice if you contacted me first and I would have explained this. There is NO \"VIG\" going on which I had to look up because I did not know the term.

We haven't fed them yet but thawed and separated them. They are nice and meaty! Can't beat the quality.

By Terrie on September 16, 2013

I ordered the Turkey Necks for the first time with my last shipment and BOY-OH-BOY was I pleasantly surprised!! The necks are HUGE! My pup "gobbled" the neck up and it was a satisfying meal for him. No issues with the bones, in fact I would say it was easily digestible. Thank you, Hare Today, for putting out fantastic products! You NEVER disappoint!

These turkey necks are huge! My cane corso mastiff does the happy dance and becomes very vocal "roos" until I give him a neck. And then all I hear is crunch, crunch, crunch......and in a nanosecond its gone.:) My Lab likes to play with it at first by throwing the neck up in the air and if my corso catches it in mid-air, she's out of a neck, so for my Lab I have to grind the neck before giving it to her. Once its ground she inhales it and licks her bowel twice.

I have been feeding my Cavaliers raw food from Hare Today for years. They love the Turkey Necks! We chop each one into small portions and refreeze to pull out as treats. They are great for cleaning their teeth.

By Dayna on June 9, 2012

Fair amount of meat on these for a neck, and easy bones to chew! Dogs enjoy chewing them in the yard!

By Andrea on June 22, 2010

In the summer I leave these frozen for my 3 large dogs (2 Dobes and a German Shepherd) and they LOVE them, plus it buys me a good 30-60 minutes of quiet, occupied dogs while they work on them.

By Jessica on May 5, 2009

The quality of these necks is great! I figured I'd try them for my cat, looks like I finally found something too big for him. He can't quit get his jaws around the bone so he just eats the meat off. I would highly recommend this for medium to large breed dog due to the size of them.
