Great pieces

Love how easy the size of these rabbit pieces makes meal prep, my two do happy dances on rabbit day’s!
Rabbit pieces
By Lynn on July 19, 2019
Nicky, my cat, loves these rabbit pieces. Admittedly I have to cut the rabbit into smaller pieces so he can crunch the bones easily. I cut the meat into small chunks. He loves rabbit most of all and chewing on the bones help keep his teeth clean.
Not great for cats
By Lesa on March 6, 2019
I got these with the intention of giving some cut up chunks to my cats because they love rabbit and I want them to eat some crunchy bones. But I quickly found it's really difficult to cut up these pieces, because there's just so much bone and not all of it is easy to cut with my knife. So these chunks just became an extra treat for the dogs, since they gobble anything up.
Wow!!
By Patricia on November 30, 2018
Big pieces, obviously from a large rabbit(s). Some organ meat. Easy to work with. Will order again.
We love this product - easy to feed & good for allergies!
By Delaney on May 30, 2018
We've had a good experience with this rabbit product. Once it has thawed for a few hours, it's very easy to separate the pieces into half-pound sized chunks, and the bones are small so it can be chopped into even smaller pieces. The easiest thing about it is that it's about the right breakdown for raw feeding, between organ, bone and meat. My dog got bone poops at first, but he's now totally balanced eating only Hare Today rabbit and some supplements. The only downside is that the second time we ordered, some bags had holes poked in them so there was blood leaking out, so just be prepared for that!
Hare-Today Response: During shipping the jostling around may cause some small holes. There is not a lot I can do about that besides going to a thicker bag. I use a 3 mil bag, when most other places use 1.5 mil, so I already use double the thickness. I could upgrade the bags to a 6 mil but the cost to use the thicker bags would increase product cost .30 lb to cover this cost. Being most people want to keep product pricing as low as possible the general consensus is they would rather deal with small holes then pay more.
Thaw in fridge in a pan or container to catch the blood or if thawing in cold water put in a Tupperware type container that has a tight lid and float that way. You could also put the bags in a Ziploc bag and then put in cold water so it is double bagged to retain the blood loss. The meat is still fine to feed even if the bag has a puncture.
Big, Meaty Chunks!
By Sarah on November 29, 2017
The dogs love rabbit day! Rabbit is definitely one of the favorites here and even my boy that is a super lazy eater and hates to chew will go to town on these big chunks of rabbit.
Best choice
By Maureen on October 16, 2017
I have seen people in youtube videos feed their cats these Rabbit chucks. I had thought they might be to big for my cats. I just divided them up cut them down a little and put them in freezer bags. I feed one meal a week of these chunks to my 3 cats. At first it confused them but, didn't take them long to dive right it. Perfect size really because it takes them awhile to eat and there is organ in the bag. They are smart enough to leave big bone pieces untouched. The meat is so fresh and all 3 cats would eat this every day if I offered it.
Consistently voted best meal for at least 12 years
By Sam on March 24, 2017
Both households I've lived in these past 12+ years fed this product. The same kitties who loved the rabbit pieces at 4 years old are still just as pleased to be served a meal of this high quality rabbit today. Tracy's rabbits are the best available. Even the oldest cats can eat these rabbits, then continue playing hard and tearing around the house. Vs moving carefully or sitting still all day, trying desperately not to throw up. This is not the case with rabbits sourced elsewhere.
While this package no longer has the heads, they are still available separately. The picture doesn't show the excellent organs that come attached to the pieces. Perfectly sized sections for easy feeding, no leftovers, and easy on the digestion. Invaluable product!
Just what my boy needed!
By karen on March 1, 2017
I love these! almost as much as my dog! They are the right size for my 45lb Texas Heeler, he can not just swallow these whole. He has to take his time chewing which helps keep his teeth nice and clean. These pieces can be given as a full meal, I really like the fact that some organs are usually still attached. The quality of the meat is just what I was looking for. Something I feel good about feeding to my dog.
Great product
By Erin on April 10, 2016
The rabbit pieces are meaty, nicely sized for my border collie, easy for her to crunch through, and she absolutely loves them. Rabbit is one of her favorites. This rabbit option of pieces can make it easy to portion and a bit cleaner, if you don't want to portion or do a gorge with the whole prey option and still want some bones to crunch through for the oral hygiene benefits. I do a variety of rabbit with whole prey, this option, as well as ground for my dog who is missing a couple molars... they love them all.
I also do prey model nutrition consulting for owners wanting to switch to raw or have dogs and cats with health issues. I always hear good reviews from patients who are on Hare Today rabbit as well.
A fun meal/treat for the cats.
By Danielle on March 5, 2016
All three of my cats love these! They love them so much it's like a treat to them. Usually can last for two meals depending on how spunky their feeling. I get these whenever my vet claims they need a teeth cleaning.
Delicious crunchy pieces
By Jennifer on November 8, 2015
We mix the pieces with the ground rabbit so that our cats have to chew. They say it is good for their teeth. They love to crunch on the skulls. I love that they are getting all of the magic from the raw whole animals.

I am a holistic veterinarian and my specialty is designing recipes for pets with medical issues. These rabbit pieces were easy to work with, had a ton of meat on them, and my dogs with allergies are loving their rabbit stew. I add the rabbit organs, as well as special vegetables and fruits to treat the allergies. Thanks for making it easy to get the specialty meats I need!
By Cyndi on August 28, 2013
Rabbit is my dog's new favorite. She loves the ground whole carcass rabbit and now she loves the rabbit pieces. Just got my first order of them today and I thawed a couple pieces out and my Bailey loved it. She licked her bowl for a long time after eating. The pieces are very convenient where as I don't think I could stomach buying the whole rabbit. Guess I'll have to try the rabbit heads next.
By dana ann on May 19, 2013
My AmStaff would only eat these slightly frozen. Defrosted he turned his nose up! He likes the ground rabbit, but I think the pieces were \"too gamey\" totally defrosted. Keeping them slightly frozen he ate them rather quickly. That may be the secret if someone has a problem getting their dog interested!

My indoor and outdoor cats just love this rabbit. Some prefer the rabbit over the chicken. My cats are a lot healthier because of Hare Today!
By Carol A on November 8, 2012
My kitties just love the rabbit. It has improved their health immensely. It always smells fresh too.
By Penny on September 16, 2012
I love how convenient this is;I wish I had seen this before I had ordered a whole rabbit. I was looking for a source of lean meat and wanted to add some variety in my dachshund's diet and this is perfect.
By Kristina on April 24, 2012
Amazing! I can't even begin to describe how perfect this item is and how much my pets devour it! Don't forget, it has all the good stuff! I was never a raw person for my pets, but forget switching back to icky kibble after they have had some of this! They will devour every bit of it and LOVE it! I promise you will be so happy to see your pet's health increase and vet bills decrease, and did I mention you will not have a single leftover?! I give it 100 stars!!!!!! Simply incredible and definitely the favorite of protein sources here!
By barbara on April 16, 2012
My dog has been seizure-free for four years, which is when I took her off the processed pet foods and intro'd her to Hare-Today rabbit products. These pieces are a good treat in between her meals of ground rabbit from Tracy -- especially if we've had a long hike that day. Even dogs need that protein and calorie boost after a day of exercise!
By Carol A on March 23, 2012
My cats just love the rabbit. I chunk most and grind the rest. The rabbit is always fresh and smells good. I would recommend this product to anyone who has cats especially if they have IBS.
By Elizabeth on March 18, 2012
This product is a favorite of my Whippets. I feed it about every other week and the dogs love it. Betty
By Anthea on March 10, 2012
This is one of my cats favorite meals. The meat and bones are cut to the right size for my cats, and plenty of organs are available so my little carnivores will get a balanced meal.
By Carol A on February 24, 2012
My indoor and outdoor cats just love this rabbit, it smells clean and is easy to prepare. I highly recommend this product to any animal lover. This product has cleared my cat's irritable bowel syndrome. Thank-you, Tracy!

One of my dogs has an extremely sensitive tummy (diarrhea and vomiting are quite frequent), but he absolutely loves Tracy’s rabbit peaces! He not only loves the rabbit, but he does extremely well on it! Rabbit is fresh and of excellent quality! Thank you Tracy!
By Corinne on September 26, 2009
Our kitty is in perfect health thanks to the raw rabbit! She has food allergies and rabbit is the only thing she tolerates perfectly. She loves her raw rabbit. Our vet says her fur is the healthiest she has ever seen - Puddin's weight/muscle mass/fur, etc. is what a healthy kitty should be like. The meat is excellent quality and I have never had any issues with it - its always perfect. Thank you Tracy!

Like another reviewer said, I don't know whether to thank you or not, all my cats want to eat now is your rabbit. I like to change up what I feed my cats all the time because nutritionally it is better for them (of course I stick with raw and just change up the animals fed). Since feeding rabbit to my cats I cannot get one of them to eat anything else, he will literally starve himself 'till I put rabbit down. My other cat, walks away from anything else until he's too hungry to put up a fight. Your rabbit meat seems to be truly addictive to my cats. I will be ordering again soon and will have to make sure to include plenty of rabbit, after all, if the cats aren't happy nobody is.

I encourage everyone to read this review who is thinking about ordering from Hare-Today. I have been a faithful customer of Hare-Today for 2 1/2 years. Tracy (the owner and primary care-giver to the animals) is one of the most loyal and dedicated animal caregivers you will find in the world today. She raises the animals with thoughtfulness for their well-being. The quality of the meat is consistently excellent, time after time, and the orders are ALWAYS fresh, complete, and precisely accurate. I care for two indoor cats, Racer -19 and Bullseye -13, who enjoy eating the rabbit meat. I highly recommend ordering from Hare-Today, a company who's people care at the HIGHEST LEVEL.

I don't know whether to thank you or not but Bobbie and Suzie for certain give you four paws up!!!
This is day 3 with rabbit pieces in a row since my order arrived.
I tried to feed them chicken in between but Suzie screamed at me and Bobbie just walked away with his head up.
They are both former feral/mostly outdoor/Bobbie meanwhile tame, Suzie not/approximately 5 months old brother and sister.
So you can imagine how much they eat!!!
By Lisa on April 8, 2006
These are an absolute favorite for my dogs and cat. My cat literally purrs with delight when she is presented with a nice rabbit chunk. Since my dogs are quite small (under 10 lbs) the size of the pieces is really convenient for me. The pieces are large enough to provide a couple of challenging meals, but small enough that I don't need to cut them up at all.
By Heidi on December 6, 2005
Wonderful product, all is consumed with great ease and pleasure, even though the head takes them some time... Big thank you from myself, Nyx 9, Atlas 4, Silver 3 1/2, Kharma 2, Ghost 9mo, Zephyr 6mo, and two unnamed 4 wks that we are trying not to admit just yet that they live with us...
By Laura on November 18, 2005
This is the staple of my dog's diet. Rabbit is very high in protein, and since I feed my Akita about 1.5 to 2 rabbits per week, she is lean and solid muscle! For those that can't "stomach" feeding a whole rabbit, the pieces are the next best thing.
By Casey on November 15, 2005
My cats really fancy these rabbit pieces! Bigger than the rabbit chunks, and with more organs included.
Paws up.
